STEPH LOPEZ has always been keenly interested in arts and crafts even at a young age, joining art clubs and electives while still in school. She rekindled her passion for the visual arts in 2005 through weekend workshops and hasn’t stopped creating since.
While she works with different media, she does mostly wire sculpture and hand molded figures. Themes of her work vary: gender roles, relationships, human frailty and resilience, nature, and nostalgia, among others. She believes in art’s power to heal and connect.
